Hassan Baig appointed new CAA DG

KARACHI: Hassan Baig, Senior Joint Secretary and Additional Secretary BS-21 assumed the charge of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Director-General in addition to his own duties in the Aviation Division.

Hassan Baig holds an MPhil in Economics from Quaid e Azam University. He has served at various top positions in civil services of Pakistan including Income Tax Assistant Commissioner, Establishment Division Deputy Secretary Projects, Executive District Officer (Community Development)/Finance Rawalpindi, Deputy Secretary FIA Ministry of Interior, Community Welfare Attache Libya, Joint Secretary Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, Additional Chief Secretary Azad Jammu and Kashmir Government, Joint Secretary Aviation, Joint Secretary Science and Technology and DG Pakistan HALAL Authority.

Prior to joining the Aviation Division, he was serving as Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Additional Secretary.
