Karandaaz to hold 2nd Edition of FinTech Challenge, announces $100,000 funding for the winning start-up

Karandaaz Pakistan has announced the 2nd edition of its FinTech Disrupt Challenge 2017 (#FDC2017) with IBA AMAN Centre for Entrepreneurial Development as venue partner.

Karandaaz has announced the 2nd edition of the Fin Tech Disrupt Challenge 2017 and is inviting FinTech startups to present their innovative ideas. Karandaaz will be providing a funding support of up to $100,000.

The competition aims to encourage innovative FinTech startups in the fields of digital payment solutions, access to financial services, eCommerce and interoperability solutions. It promises greater financial inclusion by identifying, supporting and encouraging the best and most innovative practices.

Karandaaz has offered two grants of up to $100,000 and five grants of up to $20,000 to the start-ups with high growth potential and groundbreaking financial technology solutions. Ideas that focus on greater financial inclusion of women in the economy are especially encouraged in the competition.

Karandaaz will be accepting applications till May 9, 2017. Shortlisted applicants will be presenting their ideas on the Day of the Challenge on May 20, 2017.

The first FinTech Disrupt Challenge was organized in November 2016 by Karandaaz in collaboration with LUMS Centre for Entrepreneurship (LCE). Out of the 28 shortlisted startups, 3 won funding support of $100,000 each.
