EU ministers agree on half-a-trillion euros support for virus-hit economies

European Union Finance Ministers have agreed on half-a-trillion euros support for their coronavirus-battered economies.

The agreement to this effect was reached during the EU finance Minster’s meeting in Brussels after struggling for weeks to present a united front in the face of the pandemic.

The package would bring the EU’s total fiscal response to the coronavirus epidemic to 3.2 trillion euros the biggest in the world.
