Philip Morris factory becomes operational in Sahiwal

The Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited (PMPK) became operational from April 29 (Wednesday ) in Sahiwal, informed the company in a statement to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on  Thursday. 

The statement further said that the company has in place established SOPs in line with provincial directives and has taken all relevant measures to ensure safety of its employees. 

Earlier, the factory of Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited (PMPK) was closed in compliance with the directives of provincial governments to contain the outbreak of COVID-19.

  1. Compliments to the Government of Punjab for the worlds largest tobacco company started its flagship operations from Sahiwal of PMPK as member of PSX.

    The PMPK earlier in Karachi but shifted due to Mawa, Gutka, related receipes moved out. The PMPK being the worlds largest tobacco group has great opportunity to international markets with fans, of the PMPK could be served well to China with huge demand in China for the PMPK, via the CPEC to China and beyond for our bilateral trade. Pakistan fans of PMPK are local indiviudal now with their alternate of Mawa related receipes with no Forex consumed. Suggest the Health Division of Pakistan should examine Mawa related receipes be assured no adverse health effects.
