My friend who lives in Tasmania went to a doctor about her mental health problems, this is what she told me happened;
“I told her that I’m hallucinating and that I think I have paranoid personality disorder, I also told her that I have a long family history of mental health issues. She didn’t believe me and laughed when I told her, she basically said I’m being ridiculous”
I want my friend to get the help that she needs as she has hallucinations, but she has many anxiety issues and when she went to the doctor she apparently got laughed at, what can be done in this situation, should I just tell her to go to a different doctor? I think she’ll be quite hesitant after being laughed at by the first doctor.
