Financial close of Thar Block-2 power plant by Sept end, says Asim Bajwa

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Lt Gen (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa said on Tuesday that the financial closes of 330 Megawatts (MW) Thar Block-2 power plant was expected by the end of September.

Taking to Twitter, he stated that the project, which would be executed by Thal Nova and HUBCO, was launched recently with an investment of $500 million.

Bajwa, who is also the chairman of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), said that the project has created 305 local jobs so far, and that it was being pushed by the company’s own equity to prevent time loss.
