Dollar slides further to Rs158.91

KARACHI: Pakistani Rupee continued with its winning streak against US Dollar in the interbank market, gaining another 18 paisas on the first day of the week.

According to a State Bank of Pakistan tweet, the US Dollar opened at Rs159.09 and closed at Rs158.91. PKR has gained Rs2.28 against the greenback during the last two weeks.

Money dealers in the market attributed this rally of rupee against the US dollar to encouraging economic indicators as well as global downfall of the greenback. On the other side, they added, importers are being careful in buying goods from their foreign suppliers owing to the second wave of Covid-19.
