Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has processed 90,000 files as part of its ongoing record digitization efforts and is now seeking assistance from the Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) and PLUS team to finalize the remaining files.
During a recent review meeting chaired by LDA Director General Tahir Farooq, officials, including PLRA DG Ikram-ul-Haq, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Sohaib Butt, and senior LDA representatives, discussed the progress and challenges of the initiative.
To expedite the process, the LDA highlighted the need for additional technical human resources. PLRA’s technical teams will formulate a detailed timeline and roadmap to ensure efficient completion.
The meeting also addressed issues related to the property transfer system at the Citizen Facilitation Centre, with discussions focusing on enhancing technology integration and technical cooperation between LDA and PLRA.
LDA DG Tahir Farooq reaffirmed that finalizing the record management process remains a key priority and emphasized that, with PLRA’s collaboration, the initiative will be completed effectively.
