PHF told to submit detailed plan within three days as Rs150m allocated for National Youth Games in Islamabad

The federal government has approved a financial assistance package worth Rs400 million to support major sporting initiatives, the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) announced on Wednesday.

Of the total allocation, Rs250 million has been earmarked for the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) to facilitate the national team’s participation in the upcoming season of the FIH Pro League, a prestigious international event. The PSB has directed the PHF to submit a comprehensive participation plan within three days, covering travel, logistics, administrative needs, and training arrangements.

The remaining Rs150 million will be utilised for organising the inaugural National Youth Games, which are scheduled to take place in Islamabad.

Meanwhile, the PHF has sought additional time to decide on the team’s participation in the Pro League.
