Rangers, Customs seize 12 trucks of Rs100mn smuggled goods in Karachi raid

Bolton Market operation uncovers non-customs-paid items; trucks handed over for legal action

In a joint operation, Sindh Rangers and Customs Enforcement seized non-customs-paid (NCP) goods valued at Rs100 million from warehouses in the Bolton Market area of Kharadar, Karachi.

According to media reports, following a tip-off, officials raided Yousaf Plaza in Bolton Market, uncovering a large quantity of smuggled items, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, shisha flavors, watches, chocolates, soaps, perfumes, cosmetics, and various food products.

The seized items were concealed in multiple warehouses and transported using 12 Mazda trucks. The recovered goods were handed over to Customs Enforcement for further legal proceedings.

A Sindh Rangers spokesperson urged the public to report illegal activities, assuring that information could be shared confidentially through the nearest Rangers check post, the Helpline at 1101, or Rangers Madadgar.

The operation highlights the commitment of Sindh Rangers and Customs to combating organized crime and protecting the economy from the adverse impact of smuggling.
