ISLAMABAD: PTCL Group, which includes PTCL and Ufone 4G, has partnered with Huawei to deploy advanced connectivity systems at Sukh Chayn Residence in Islamabad.
The deployment includes a 5G-ready Digital Indoor System (DIS) and high-speed Fibre-To-The-Home (FTTH) technology.
The Digital Indoor System uses end-to-end active infrastructure to deliver digital signals, providing improved coverage and reduced interference compared to traditional Distributed Antenna Systems. The system is designed for high-rise buildings and maintains the interior aesthetics of the residence.
Asif Ahmed, Group Chief Business Solution Officer at PTCL and Ufone 4G, said the project shows the group’s commitment to business-to-business solutions and the trust placed in its services. He said the new system will help residents manage their routines while improving lifestyle and supporting growth.
Muhammad Saleh Azeem, CEO of Sukh Chayn Residence, said the housing complex is the first 5G-ready residential facility in the country and aims to meet the growing needs of its residents.
Michael Che, Managing Director of Carrier Business at Huawei, said the DIS technology introduced through PTCL will change mobile broadband use in residential areas and strengthen PTCL’s role as a main internet provider in Pakistan.
This project builds on PTCL Group’s earlier FTTH partnerships with major businesses and supports its position as a leading telecom partner in the country.
