Citi Pharma denies reports of setting up manufacturing facility in Iraq

Company clarifies no formal decision made regarding operations in Iraqi market

KARACHI — Citi Pharma Limited, one of Pakistan’s leading pharmaceutical companies, has refuted reports circulating on social media about its plans to establish a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Iraq.

In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday, Citi Pharma clarified that, following its participation in the Iraq Expo, exploratory discussions had been held with various stakeholders. However, the company emphasized that no formal decisions, agreements, or commitments had been made regarding operations in the Iraqi market.

The company has requested concerned platforms to remove the posts spreading inaccurate information. Citi Pharma reiterated its commitment to transparency and ensuring the timely dissemination of accurate information in compliance with applicable regulations.
