FFC reduces urea price by Rs300 per bag

Fauji Fertiliser Company (FFC) has reduced its urea price by Rs300 per bag, effective from 28 January 2020.

“The benefit of cut in Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC) by the Government of Pakistan has been immediately passed on to the farmers,” a statement issued by the company reads. “This considerable reduction in urea prices has provided much-needed benefit to the farming sector which plays a vital role in the national economy & food security, as it employs 42pc of the total labour force.”

“As urea is the most consumed fertiliser in Pakistan, the reduction in its price is expected to provide relief and strength to the impoverished agriculture sector of Pakistan,” the statement concluded.
