Govt utilising all resources to revive SEZs, says Hammad Azhar

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar on Thursday said that the government is utilising all available resources to revive Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and develop the underprivileged areas of the country.

Talking to a private TV channel, he said that the government is taking practical steps to make SEZs instruments of industrial production, economic growth, export promotion and employment generation.

Hammad Azhar said that the government wants to introduce a one window operation in SEZs to facilitate local and foreign investors.

He said that the government has made serious efforts to promote tourism as an industry in the country in order to generate revenue and provide employment opportunities to the local population.
