Nokia to introduce 3 latest phones in Pakistan

HMD Global in partnership with Nokia and Android is going to launch Nokia’s 3 new smartphones sets in Pakistan in the second quarter of the current years.

“HMD Global is going to launch their newly introduced sets; Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 in the second quarter of the year,” said Vice President for Middle-East Per Ekman while talking to the media.

“Pakistan is a key strategic market for our brand and we are focussing on bringing something the consumer wants,” he said. The smartphones are to be launched in Pakistan along with Middle-East,  and North Africa (MENA) region.

HMD is in a strategic partnership with Nokia Android and Foxconn, the world’s largest electronic producer.

He said the company will give the pure Android software, without preloaded apps so that users could install apps of their own choice.

The new phones will receive monthly updates from Android. On December 1, last year, HMD launched these three phones in China and Per Ekman says that they got 1 million pre-registration of the phones and were sold out in just 23 seconds of its launch.

“Customers showed 97pc satisfaction after using the phones, an extreme pleasure for us,” said a graduate of the University of Uppsala.

HMD envisions to provide; durability, quality, simplicity, reliability and distinctive designed phones which should meet the needs of consumers.

“It’s a peoples’ brand, not elitist, and we want to bring what the consumer actually wants. We are here to solve the real problems of our consumers,” he added.

The phones will be launched with subtle differences in Pakistan, subject to local taxes and other conditions, he said.
