Arif Habib Corp had taken the initiative to launch a series of ‘Journalism Skills building Workshops’ about last year. It offers a two-day training session every month over a period of one year.
Its 10th workshop under the title of ‘Covering Companies’ will be held from Friday 28th July through Saturday 29th July 2017 at Arif Habib Center, Karachi.
The topics under purview of the series of workshops, range from feature writing to interviewing techniques and journalist ethics. Other topics include covering the social sector, data journalism, profile writing and developing story ideas amid many more.
The purpose of the series is to offer mid-career journalist and aspiring new journalists the opportunity to acquire practical skills that will help them improve their quality of work and will propel their careers towards success.
This series is an offering of part of Arif Habib Group’s efforts to support the journalist community and help contribute to the development of media in Pakistan.
The series is headed by Naween A. Mangi who is a renowned journalist and media trainer. The workshop consists of exciting activities and training sessions coupled with presentations.
