Iran’s Mahan Air set to start Tehran-Lahore direct flights

TEHRAN: Iran’s Mahan Air is set to launch two weekly flights between Tehran and Lahore next month.

The inaugural flight for Tehran will leave on December 18 from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport. This would be the fifth direct flight between Iran and Pakistan, the FARS news agency reported.

The development will prove to be another step to enhance connectivity between the peoples of the two countries. Lahore is the second largest city of Pakistan and cultural hub of the country.

Currently, Kish Air is operating direct flights between Islamabad and Tehran; Iran Air is operating flights between Karachi and Tehran; Taban Air is operating flights between Lahore and Mashad while Pakistan’s Shaheen Air is operating flights between Lahore and Mashhad.
