NEC meeting discusses federal development budget

LAHORE: The National Economic Council (NEC) discussed important matters related to the federal development budget in a meeting held on Wednesday in Islamabad.

NEC members and provincial and federal ministers were present in the meeting.

The meeting discussed the development budget for the next financial year and increase in development budget for Azad Jammu and Kashmir Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), reported a private news outlet. A five-year economic plan from 2018 to 2013 also came under discussion.

Earlier, President Mamnoon Hussain, approved Sindh minister Manzoor Wasan’s appointment as NEC member, in place of Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, who passed away earlier this year.
