Central development working committee meeting to be held this week

 

ISLAMABAD: The Central Development Working Committee meeting is scheduled to be held this week.

According to details, costly projects worth billions of rupees would be approved in the meeting. Sources stated that the committee would also give approval of funds for the Mamad and Diamer-Bhasha Dam.

The government would also lay the foundation stone of Mamad Dam in April. Rs1.23 trillion is set to be approved for the Diamer-Bhasha Dam project. This project is expected to produce up to 4500MW electricity for the country.

The country’s ongoing power crisis would definitely redress after the construction of these dams. Sources further stated that 33 mega projects worth billions of rupees would be presented for approval at the committee meeting.
