LPG price reduced by Rs15 per kg

  • OGRA chirman vows uninterrupted supply of LPG at controlled rates this winter

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has decreased the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs15 per kilogram for the month of November, it was learnt on Thursday.

“Domestic cylinder would be sold at Rs1,509 instead of Rs1,673 and commercial cylinder would be available at Rs5,805 instead of Rs6,478 across the the country,” confirmed All Pakistan LPG Distributors Association Chairman Irfan Khokhar following the price reduction notification of the authority.

He said the ‘significant’ downward revision in rates of LPG was possible due to prudent policies of the present government, adding that this winter, consumers would get uninterrupted supply of LPG at controlled rates, particularly in the far flung areas.

He lauded the government for effectively tackling the ‘LPG mafia’, who had been making money through black-marketing of the commodity in winters.

The chairman warned that strict action would be taken against those distributors who would be selling the commodity in violation of the notified rates.
