AEDB to finalise renewable energy policy draft on 22nd

The Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) would hold a consultative meeting with all stakeholders on August 22 for the finalisation of the draft Alternate & Renewable Energy Policy (ARE Policy) 2019.

The Ministry of Energy (Power Division) had circulated the policy draft on April 12, 2019.

“In order to finalise the draft ARE Policy 2019, AEDB intends to hold a consultative meeting with all concerned stakeholders so that their views/comments are sought prior to the submission of the final draft for approval of the competent forum,” a statement issued by the ministry on Saturday read.

Senior officials of all provincial governments, Private Power Infrastructure Board (PPIB), National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC), Central Power Purchasing Agency-Guarantee (CPPA-G) and distribution companies have been invited for participation.
