ISLAMABAD: The exchange rate for Pakistani rupee went down by 61 paisas against the United States (US) dollar during the interbank trading on Monday June 15, to close at Rs164.85 for one US dollar compared to its last closing at Rs164.24.
However, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates of the US dollar in the open market, on Monday, were recorded at Rs164.5 and Rs165.25 respectively.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported that during the interbank trading, the price of euro depreciated by 27 paisas to close at Rs185.55 against the last day’s closing at Rs185.82.
The Japanese yen remained stable at Rs1.53 whereas a decrease of 27 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound which was traded at Rs 206.72 compared to its last closing at Rs206.99.
The exchange rates of Saudi riyal and United Arab Emirates (UAE) dirham increased by 17 paisas each to close at Rs43.93 and Rs44.88 respectively.
