KP govt set to complete seven hydel power projects by year-end

The projects are being constructed in Mansehra, Shangla, Swat, Lower Dir, Chitral and Kurram districts

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has expedited work on the construction of seven hydel power projects in the province.

According to Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization, these projects are being constructed in Mansehra, Shangla, Swat, Lower Dir, Chitral and Kurram districts.

The government has set a target to complete these projects by the end of this year, it added.

It will generate more than 400-megawatt electricity, besides bringing thousands of acres of barren land under cultivation.
