Gold price shoots to new peak of Rs132,000 per tola

ISLAMABAD: The price of 24-carat gold on Friday witnessed a sharp increase of Rs2,500 to Rs132,000 per tola compared to its price of Rs129,500 per tola on Thursday.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs2,144 to Rs113,169 compared to its price of Rs111,025 on the previous day, the Karachi Sarafa Association reported.

Moreover, the price of silver increased by Rs60 to Rs1,710 per tola compared to its price of Rs1,650 per tola on Thursday.  The price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs51.44 to Rs1,466.04 compared to Rs1,414.6 on Thursday.

The price of gold in the international market increased by $4 to $2,054 per ounce compared to $2,050 per ounce during the previous day.
