New €45mn German aid to bolster Pakistan’s development initiatives

The initiative is part of a broader, holistic approach to address global challenges like climate change and social inclusion

Germany has announced a €45 million aid package for Pakistan to initiate several new development projects, underscoring the strong partnership between the two countries.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Dr. Kazim Niaz, Pakistan’s Secretary for Economic Affairs, and Mr. Alfred Grannas, German Ambassador to Pakistan. This funding will support projects focused on climate and energy, sustainable economic development, training and employment, health, social protection, and population policy.

The initiative is part of a broader, holistic approach to address global challenges like climate change and social inclusion, particularly of women and youth. This effort reflects decades of fruitful cooperation between Germany and Pakistan, aiming to enhance development in critical sectors.

The commitment reinforces the “Shana ba shana” (shoulder to shoulder) partnership between the two nations, striving for sustainable progress and mutual development goals.
