London High Court declares Hasan Nawaz bankrupt in tax case

Sharif family faces intensified financial scrutiny in UK

Hasan Nawaz Sharif, son of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, has been declared bankrupt by the London High Court in a case filed by the United Kingdom’s tax and revenue authorities.

According to official court documents, the UK Gazette, which maintains public records, listed Hasan as a resident of Flat 17 Avenfield House, 118 Park Lane, and a company director. The declaration of bankruptcy was made under High Court case number 694 of 2023.

The ruling stems from proceedings over unpaid liabilities, further spotlighting the financial dealings of the Sharif family in the UK. This development adds to the mounting legal and financial challenges surrounding their overseas assets.
