LAHORE: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) will be collaborating with Dubai police to digitalise Dubai’s police stations and help in the development of different systems, such as the cyber security system.
A formal request has already been made by Dubai police chief, Abdullah Khalifa at a meeting with PITB chairman Dr Umar Saif in Dubai on Sunday.
“The board will integrate all surveillance systems with police stations in Dubai. Besides, it will ensure cyber security of financial institutions and other departments, which will be part of a wider security network,” Dr Saif informed the media sources telephonically from Dubai.
He also revealed that the PITB would also be working on drafting a crowd monitoring system in relation to Dubai 2020 Expo. Furthermore, it will digitalize traffic system in Dubai, adding further the board would be developing all these systems in two years.
Saif stated that the PITB had successfully digitalized as many as 712 police stations in the 36 districts of Punjab. He revealed that board has also assisted Nigeria to computerise their Hajj operation.
