Fauji Cement expands production 6,500 tons/day with new Greenfield Plant

The new plant has increased the total cement production capacity of FCCL to 10.6 million tons per annum, making it the third-largest cement producer in the country

Fauji Cement Company Limited (FCCL) announced on Thursday that it has successfully commissioned its new Greenfield Cement Manufacturing Plant in Shadan Lund, District Dera Ghazi Khan.

The plant has a production capacity of 6,500 tons per day of clinker, which is a key ingredient for making cement, the FCCL informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange through a stock filing.

The new plant has increased the total cement production capacity of FCCL to 10.6 million tons per annum, making it the third-largest cement producer in the country. The company also said the new plant has state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, emissions control features, and a waste heat recovery power plant.

Capacity based market share of FCCL has increased from 10.5% to 13.1% in Pakistan. In North, capacity-based market share of FCCL has surged from 13.2% to 16.4%. After this expansion, FCCL’s capacity utilization to clock in at 59% and 62% in FY24 and FY25 respectively.

FCCL said that the new plant will not only provide a livelihood to the locals, but will also help in the major uplift of the area. The company said that it has initiated several corporate social responsibility projects, such as providing clean drinking water, healthcare, solar systems, and education to the deprived communities in Shadan Lund.
