Lahore: The soft launch of a specifically assigned entrepreneurship desk was announced by Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) on Friday.
In a meeting held at PBIT’s office with a group of aspiring entrepreneurs, the purpose of this entrepreneurship desk would be to guide and help them in launching and growing their businesses on various levels.
The agenda of the meeting was to discuss about the services and products on offer by these startups, and the problems they were facing while trying to grow their respective businesses.
The issues affecting these startups were related to policy advocacy, incentives on offer by government and legal concerns topped the list of priorities.
PBIT CEO, Jahanzeb Burana on the occasion said that all help will be provided to startups and their issues will be raised at relevant forums, so their problems get resolved.
The startups who were part of this meeting included Repair Desk, which is in the business of offering integrated POS and ERP software services for record keeping, Dielicious which offers a weight-loss service programme by giving customized meals to its targeted recipients.
The others included Sabzi.pk, an online marketplace for farmers and consumers which delivers quality vegetables at your doorstep, and last was Pak Straw which aims to provide services for filteration of 1,500 liters of waters at a very less cost.
