CM Punjab invites EU firms to explore investment in Punjab

Pakistan’s youth are dynamic and talented, and we are training them for the global job market," Maryam Nawaz says

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has invited European Union companies to explore investment opportunities in education, information technology, green energy, and healthcare sectors across the province.

Welcoming the European Union’s Parliamentary Delegation for South Asia (DSAS), CM Maryam described the visit as a reflection of strong and friendly bilateral relations between Pakistan and the EU. The discussions focused on trade, education, investment, and mutual areas of interest.

“Pakistan values its trusted friendship with the European Union,” the chief minister stated. “The EU is not only a key trading partner but also a voice of stability globally. GSP Plus status has significantly boosted Pakistan’s exports to the EU, particularly in textiles.”

Maryam Nawaz emphasized Punjab’s role as the economic engine of Pakistan, highlighting its business-friendly environment and potential for partnerships in agriculture, renewable energy, digital infrastructure, and environmental sustainability.

She also noted the province’s investment in human capital, citing initiatives to equip youth with global skills. “Pakistan’s youth are dynamic and talented. We’re training them for international markets, and I’m proud that Pakistani students continue to rank among the top recipients of Erasmus Mundus scholarships.”

The EU delegation praised the Punjab government’s innovative development initiatives and expressed interest in expanding cooperation in various sectors.

Both sides agreed to further deepen ties in trade, peacebuilding, and sustainable development.
