Ishaq Dar urges faster work on industrial parks

Dar says government is committed to promoting export-led industrial growth and creating a business-friendly environment

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday called for speeding up work on the establishment of industrial parks and aligning them with international standards to attract both local and foreign investment.

He made the remarks while chairing a meeting of the committee set up to review proposals for the Karachi Industrial Park at the Pakistan Steel Mills site.

The meeting discussed plans to turn the site into a modern industrial hub. Dar said the government is committed to promoting export-led industrial growth and creating a business-friendly environment across the country.

The meeting was attended by Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, and senior officials from the Special Investment Facilitation Council, Ministry of Industries, and the Board of Investment.
