Kohinoor Energy posts 54.8% decline in net profit for FY25

Revenue falls sharply by 56.8%, with earnings per share dropping to Rs4.27

Kohinoor Energy Limited (PSX: KOHE) reported a net profit of Rs723.9 million for the year ended June 30, 2025 (FY25), a 54.8% decrease compared to Rs1.6 billion in FY24.

As a result, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) fell to Rs4.27, down from Rs9.44 in the previous year.

Revenue for FY25 declined sharply by 56.8% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs4.33 billion, compared to Rs10.01 billion in FY24. The cost of sales also dropped by 61.3% to Rs2.98 billion, resulting in a gross profit of Rs1.35 billion, down 41.4% YoY.

Administrative expenses decreased by 30.3% YoY to Rs269 million, while other expenses surged to Rs41 million. Operating profit contracted by 44% YoY to Rs1.08 billion, and finance costs rose by 7.2% to Rs343 million.

After accounting for a levy of Rs8.5 million and taxation of Rs2.3 million, Kohinoor Energy closed FY25 with a net profit of Rs724 million, down from Rs1.6 billion in FY24.
