Fire breaks out at Colgate Palmolive’s Kotri factory

LAHORE: A bourse notification filed Thursday by Colgate Palmolive (Pakistan) Ltd revealed a fire broke out at its Kotri factory, which damaged a small portion of one section of their plant.

CPL in its statement said the fire was spotted immediately and steps taken to resolve the problem which came under control within an hour of the incident.

Consequently, an assessment was carried out by the company’s factory management and it was ascertained, this fire incident wouldn’t impact production at the factory. Also, the notification stated that CGL’s fixed assets and stocks were all fully insured and hence it expects a minimal financial loss in this regard.

Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited is engaged in the manufacture and sale of detergents, personal care and other related products. The Company’s principal classes of products include Personal Care, Home Care and Others. Its product categories include oral care, fabric care and surface care.

CPL shares were trading at Rs2800.0 and KSE-100 index was trading at 44,318.90 points, up 269.05 points from close on Wednesday.
