Supply issues force Suzuki to suspend Wagon R booking

KARACHI: Pak Suzuki has notified its dealers to suspend the booking of Wagon R cars as the company is currently facing supply issues while a large number of it Wagon R cars have already been booked.

“We have notified our dealers to suspend the booking of Wagon R cars because there’s lack of supply of imported parts and we already have to honour booking of a large number of cars,” Suzuki spokesperson told Pakistan Today.

Following restrictions on the import of used cars, pressure on Suzuki was expected to increase since mainly small engine capacity cars below 1000CC were imported and among local manufacturers, Suzuki dominates the below 1000CC car market.

Suzuki wants to ensure the timely delivery of cars that have already been booked, and if, according to Suzuki spokesperson, it continues to book Wagon R cars then the delivery period would be extended. Therefore, the company has temporarily suspended Wagon R booking.

“This is a temporary measure. We will soon resume the booking of Wagon R cars when our supply chain issues are resolved,” he said.
