ISLAMABAD: China has appreciated Pakistan on providing dedicated security to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
As per the documents available with this scribe, the Chinese officials, in a recent meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee held in Islamabad, appreciated Pakistan on providing state-of-the-art security to CPEC projects.
The Chinese side agreed that an increase in the personnel of the Special Security Division (SSD North and South) has further enhanced the security of CPEC. In addition, the two sides reaffirmed that security was of utmost importance for the development of CPEC.
They agreed that the countries should remain highly vigilant to the threats of terrorist attacks.
The Pakistani side assured that the country would take all necessary measures to ensure the security of Chinese personnel, while the Chinese side said that it would work with Pakistan to mitigate all threats to CPEC.
