President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has stated that the industrial zone in Bhimber district and hydel power projects have been approved in AJK under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)and the projects are likely to bring development in the area.
He said that CPEC will bring economic revolution not only in Pakistan but AJK as well. He further stated that under the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, AJK government is constantly striving to promote good governance, economic stability and independence of Kashmir from India.
Masood Khan said AJK government is in joint efforts with the Pakistani government to develop education, infrastructure, health and tourism sectors, adding that measures are being taken to promote tourism sector as Kashmir has an abundance of natural beauty.
He further added that several highways have been constructed to connect AJK with Pakistan and to provide comfortable travelling facilities to the commuters.
In addition, focus is being placed on attracting investment from other countries as well.AJK President further added that the government is striving to reduce unemployment in the area and provide quality education to the people of the area.
