SBP to release Rs 50 Edhi commemorative coin

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will be circulating a Rs 50 Abdul Sattar Edhi commemorative coin in honour of the renowned philanthropist from March 31st. The decision had been taken in a Cabinet meeting held on Friday July 15, 2016.

The SBP had been authorised to issue the Rs 50 commemorative coin in light of his outstanding services to humanity particularly the impoverished Pakistanis. These coins will be issued through the exchange counters of all the field offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation from March 31st, 2017.
