Petrol prices up by Rs 1 from April 1

The federal government on Friday has revised the prices of petroleum products, upwards by increasing Rs1/ litre for both petrol and diesel.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has also announced that prices of light diesel oil and kerosene will remain unchanged.

The new prices will take effect at midnight (Saturday).

Dar further stated that the government will issue a subsidy worth Rs 3b on petroleum products for the period.
