Toyota IMC all set to launch the new diesel Toyota Fortuner

LAHORE: Car enthusiasts across the country eagerly awaiting the launch of a new Toyota Fortuner can now rejoice as Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) is all set to launch it’s new diesel Fortuner today.

According to reports, IMC is shipping the Toyota diesel Fortuner with various options and exciting new features. The new vehicle houses a 1GD-FTV (Hi) 2.8-litre diesel engine, Toyota’s more contemporary version of the engine line. The vehicle makes (130 KW) 174 horsepower at 3400 rpm, in simple terms, it’s packed with power. Additionally, the engine produces 450Nm of torque at 1600-2400 rpm.

Toyota IMC has equipped the diesel Fortuner with features such as push-start and keyless entry. Toyota has embedded the intercooler in the engine, which should increase its efficiency. Also, the common rail direct fuel injection system is used in the diesel vehicle.

Toyota IMC is also to launch the 2018 Petrol Fortuner shortly along with some interesting changes. Few of the major changes are that the company will ship it in only 2WD mode and with push start and keyless entry options.

Other new features in the new diesel Fortuner include a Power Back Door, a silver colour side-step, and warm welcome lights. The petrol variant has a black coloured side-step.

For safety, the company has embedded its 4×4 vehicle with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Emergency Brake Signal (EBS), Light Reminder, and Engine Oil levelling Warning light to make sure that the driver and passengers sitting in the car don’t face any kind of inconvenience.

The new vehicle also comprises of Downhill Assist Control (DAC), the function automatically maintains low vehicle speed while driving down a steep slope by controlling the brake fluid pressure, an extra perk for people who love off-roading and who travel a lot to hilly places.

The all-new 4×4 Fortuner has two different modes, which are Eco and Power modes.

The new vehicle is priced at Rs 5.89 million (ex-factory).
