FDI drops by 45pc in July

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) coming into the country during the month of July 2018 has fallen down to $188 million, down 45 per cent from last month as foreign investors had brought in $341.7 million worth of foreign direct investments during June.

Compared to the corresponding month of last year, i.e. July 2017, FDI fell by 61.3 per cent as last year in July, the country saw FDI inflows worth $284.6 million.

FDI leaving the country, on the other hand, grew by 20 per cent from last month as outflows were recorded at $60.2 million in July 2018, compared to outflows of $50.2 million in June.

Compared to July last year, outflows increased by $9.3 million, or 18.4 per cent.
