LAHORE: According to a notification issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $16,722.8 million as on 17 August 2018.
Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan amounted to $10,234.8 million. Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks at $6,488.0 million and the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $ 16,722.8 million.
During the week ending 17 August 2018, SBP’s reserves increased by $82 million to $10,235 million, while the country’s forex reserves increased by $10 million.
The reserves decreased by 16 per cent or $3.278 billion compared to the corresponding period from last year.
