Freight trains HQ being shifted to Karachi

  • Minister says the entire Karachi-Peshawar track will be upgraded soon

KARACHI: Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Friday announced that Railway Headquarters of freight trains is being shifted to Karachi.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of a freight train at Cantt Station in Karachi, he said the policy of zero tolerance for corruption would be implemented in the railways.

“Nobody would be allowed to create any obstacle in the way of Karachi Circular Railway,” he said, adding that the entire track from Karachi to Peshawar would be upgraded soon.
