Karachi: Gold prices in the country increased by Rs700 per tola to reach an all time high of Rs105,200 per tola on Thursday.

The price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs600 to reach Rs90,192.

In the international market, gold prices rose by $12 per ounce to $1,782.

Earlier, on June 24, the price of gold had increased to Rs105,100 per tola which was the highest recorded price of gold in the domestic market till then.

According to sources, despite the low purchasing power in the country domestic gold prices have soared owing to a rally in international gold prices and speculation of a further increase in gold prices.
