Rains, Karachi, wheat and sugar on Federal cabinet’s agenda for tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Federal Cabinet has been convened by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday (tomorrow), to discuss the situation after recent rains, especially in Karachi city, and the evaluation of damages and drainage issues.

A 14-point agenda of the meeting has been issued, which also include the Cabinet being briefed on the import of wheat and sugar. Construction of high-rise buildings in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Multan is also on the agenda.

The Federal Cabinet meeting will also brief on the operation against encroachment on Margalla Road Islamabad while the issue of the use of drugs for commercial purposes will be taken up with the Cabinet.

As per the agenda, the criteria and timing for outsourcing to the country’s major airports will be determined. The agenda also includes the endorsement of the NEPRA Annual Report, Economic Coordination Committee, and Privatization Committee decisions.
