Pak Datacom Limited (PSX: PAKD), a key player in Pakistan’s satellite communication sector, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a next-generation broadband satellite services provider headquartered in the Asia-Pacific region.
The agreement follows a successful limited test and trial-based arrangement between the two parties, according to a filing by Pak Datacom to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.
While the identity of the foreign partner was not disclosed, the company described it as a well-established satellite broadband operator with a next-gen technology footprint.
Pak Datacom said the collaboration aligns with its long-term strategic objective of expanding its digital connectivity offerings, particularly in the broadband satellite services segment, where demand is expected to grow in underserved and remote regions.
The MoU is non-binding at this stage. The company has committed to notifying PSX in line with legal requirements if any material agreements or developments emerge from the partnership.
