Pakistan’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector recorded a strong start to the fiscal year 2025–26, with exports exceeding $1.057 billion during the first quarter (July–September) — a 20.5 percent increase compared to the corresponding period last year.
According to data released by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, ICT exports in September 2025 alone reached $366 million, showing a 25.3 percent year-on-year rise from $292 million in September 2024.
The ministry reported that the ICT industry maintained its position as the country’s top-performing services sector, contributing the largest trade surplus and accounting for 48 percent of Pakistan’s total services exports during the quarter.
This robust performance underscores the sector’s pivotal role in driving Pakistan’s export growth and reflects the continued global demand for the country’s IT and digital services.
