CBD Punjab launches international bidding for five-star hotel and mixed-use complex

$1.8 Billion Al-Watani Joint Venture seeks global investors to boost Lahore’s commercial and tourism sector.

The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA) has opened international bids for a five-star hotel and integrated mixed-use project in Quaid District, officials said Friday.

The development will cover 41 kanals of prime commercial land and forms part of the $1.8 billion Al-Watani Joint Venture and Public-Private Partnership initiative, the country’s largest integrated hospitality and commercial project to date.

The project will follow a Design, Build, Finance, Operate & Maintain (DBFOM) Joint Venture model, inviting participation from top international hotel brands, foreign investment groups, and leading global developers.

CBD Punjab promoted the opportunity in a major international publication to attract foreign investors and strengthen Punjab’s position as a competitive destination for real estate and hospitality. The initiative aims to convert state-owned land into high-value urban assets, increase foreign direct investment, support economic growth, and enhance Lahore’s commercial and tourism profile.

CEO PCBDDA Imran Amin described the launch as “a defining moment in Punjab’s economic transformation” and reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to developing internationally competitive projects.
