ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has called a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting on July 10.
An official source said the meeting will approve important development projects. He said that the finance minister has directed the finance ministry to get approval for many important things on July 10. He said that the minister fears that July 10 could be his last day in the office after the JIT report.
It is important to mention that ECNEC meeting is called after the first quarter of the fiscal year so that quite a few number of projects are collected. However, this time the meeting is called in the first ten days of the fiscal year. Planning Commission has also done quite a hard work as it held two CDWP meetings in last one month.
The minister has also directed the finance ministry and FBR mandarins to get approval on many important matters related to the data of the last fiscal year by July 10. The minister also directed the mandarins to follow his advice even in the case of unfavourable JIT report.
