Sindh Board Investment, Czech business council sign MoU

KARACHI: Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) and Czech-Gulf Business Council (CGBC) of Czech Republic, on Monday, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote investment and trade in Sindh.

The MOU was inked by SBI chief Naheed Memon and CGBC Chairman Robert Pergl at a ceremony organised at the SBI office in Karachi.

The agreement envisages the cooperation of promoting investment and trade opportunities in Sindh; the CGBC will support SBI to attract Czech investment in Sindh by promoting potential business and investment opportunities.

The parties may jointly arrange relevant investment and trade conferences and seminars for furthering their goals at all levels.

The SBI shall attend and support delegations through the CGBC during their visit to Sindh for exploring the possibilities of investment opportunities in different sectors of the economy of Sindh and the CGBC shall accord the same reciprocally to the SBI, the agreement stated.

Memon said the Czech Republic has immense expertise in advanced engineering, designing and technology and added that Sindh wants to benefit from Czech’s expertise and technological advancement especially in urban planning, transport, energy sector, automobile, and infrastructure development
