Bahria Town Karachi signs agreement with FWO for interchange on M-9 Motorway

RAWALPINDI: Bahria Town (Private) Limited, Asia’s leading real estate developer has arranged a separate and dedicated interchange on M-9 Motorway by entering into an agreement with FWO (Frontier Works Organisation) and its subsidiary Superhighway Construction Operation and Rehabilitation Engineering (Private) Limited (SCORE) for the establishment of an interchange at Bahria Town scheme on M-9 Motorway. Bahria Town will bear the costs of construction of this mega project. Bahria Town Chairman Malik Riaz Hussain and Bahria Town VCE South Zain Malik were present at the signing ceremony which was attended by the top management of both sides.

Speaking on the occasion Malik Riaz Hussain said that the Agreement was another step by Bahria Town towards fulfilling its promise to the nation for delivering world-class housing societies with facilities and infrastructure at par with the modern world. The development of the interchange and related infrastructure works at Bahria Town Karachi will considerably improve the quality of life and ease of conveyance of the residents of Karachi.

Bahria Town will construct a very elaborate entry and exit plaza comprising 2 bridges, 3 underpasses, and a causeway. In addition, these structures will be complemented by a network of slip roads and approach and exit ramps. This infrastructure will complement the state-of-the-art road network within Bahria Town which also features 400 feet wide 18 lane Jinnah Avenue which is inspired by Sheikh Zayed Road Dubai.

Work on the M-9 Interchange and related structures is due to commence immediately upon completion of necessary regulatory approvals for construction. Upon completion, the project will not only assist the commuters living in Bahria Town but shall also be a boon to travellers at large.

This complex will allow the general public to easily access the amenities, comforts, entertainments recreation facilities and the modern style of development that Bahria Town Karachi offers to the public at large.

In short, signing of this agreement between FWO and Bahria Town augers very well for all concerned particularly the people of Karachi.

The proposed developments are in line with Bahria Town’s tradition of undertaking and funding infrastructure projects for the benefit of the citizens of Pakistan. Recently, Bahria Town had developed, entirely at its own cost, a flyover/underpass at Clifton Karachi. Further, Bahria Town also undertook a mammoth effort cleaning up garbage from Karachi.

Bahria Town Karachi is the largest and the most advanced private real estate community living project in the history of Pakistan. This master-planned community is not only redefining lifestyle preferences but also setting new standards of a green and clean environment by introducing international standards of road cleaning, waste management and disposal systems.
